Ever wondered, why do they float?

When i was in 4th grade my answer was ‘ they just float because since childhood they learned to float like that ‘
But in reality i learned that the boat is pushing down on the water and the water is pushing up. The water pushes up harder than the boat pushes down and so the boat floats. A boat floats when it has displaced just enough water to equal its own original weight – a principle called buoyancy.
